Sadie apparently had enough lounging around in her birthday suit and put on her first little sleeper. She looks like a real baby, or at least one of those real-looking dollies. After her weigh-in tonight, we have decided to report on her weight weekly, instead of daily, because she...... um.... well, she shrunk a bit. It's probably nothing to worry about, but when they pulled out her IV, she had a bit less fluid going in, and she's bound to be a little lighter after conducting her business in her wee diaper. Pees, poops and feedings can all have a big impact on her tiny little body and so the timing of the weigh-ins can have a significant influence on the daily figure. To maintain our sanity, we will try to ignore these small daily setbacks or increases, and focus instead on her week over week gains. It is amazing how much anxiety one can feel when reading the digital display on the side of the scale in the nursery. Have a great weekend everyone!
